The Fibre Optic Backbone a Elk Falls was designed to give redunantcy on their fibre optic control system, buisness and safety systems. The "fibre ring" as it is called allows communications to be rerouted and keep systems working even in the event of a severed line or fire for example. This ring makes a loop of the mill in a 12" tray c/w 6" sidewalls and carries a minimum of 2 parrallel 48 fibre cables. A central server room was also constructed with all of the old systems transfered here after the fibre ring was completed.

Marine

Campbell River South Wharf Renovation

The Campbell RIver South Wharf renovation was quite extensive. The whole south wharf had to be stripped of the old electrical gear and install the new distribution system while keeping the area operating with as few interuptions as possible.

City of Campbell River Scada Network

The City of Campbell River Scada System was designed to link all 19 lift and pumping stations in the north end of the city to a cenral control point. This enables the operators to control the system and be notified when there is a problem.

Hydro Electric

John Hart Dam Spillway Refurbishment

The complete rewire of all electric systems on the spillway. The scope of this work included a new generator building c/w a 125kw backup generator and a new control building c/w MCC, PLC and backup power supply. New electric motors were installed for the drives and complete rigid conduit network was installed to accomodate the 5 redunant power systems.

Cranes

This project was the complete rebuild of the GM Shrum Stoplog crane. All systems were disconnected on site and the crane dismantled by Brymark Installations. It was then shipped to T mar Industries in Campbell River where it was stripped down and rebuilt from top to bottom. Each piece of the crane was rewired on the spot and then each section was wired together and tested in the shop to ensure top performance once assembled on site.
